Q: What is MyRide?
A: MyRide is a secure and innovative taxi and transport mobile app that allows passengers to choose their preferred method of transport and use the unique slider feature to suggest a fare.
Q: How do you use MyRide?
A: MyRide is easy to use. Simply sign in on your smartphone, ensure your location services are on, select your service, choose your destination, accept or adjust your fare on the slider and book your ride.
Q: How is MyRide different to other taxi apps?
A: MyRide offers point-to-point personal travel services that you can book through the app. MyRide is the only app that allows you to suggest your fare, and there is no surge pricing or booking fee.
Q: What are the differences between MyRide travel options?
A:MyRide offers two distinct services:
• MyCab enables you to book a taxi from our 20,000 strong network. Unlike other apps, there is no surge pricing, and you can propose your own fare for a driver to pick you up.
• MyDriver will have you travelling in style with a fleet of luxurious vehicles. Your driver is a licensed hire-car driver.
Q: Can you choose your favourite MyRide driver?
A: Yes, the MyRide app will allow you to request a specific driver if you have a preference.
Q: Where does MyRide operate?
A: Currently MyRide is available in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Canberra, Hobart and Brisbane. MyRide will be available Australia wide very soon.
Q: How are MyRide prices determined?
A: As well as being the only app that enables you to bid for your fare we also offer no surge pricing and competitive rates across all services. The base rate differs for each service:
MyCab – fares are calculated on a basic meter rate estimate (+/- fare proposal).
MyDriver – you are given an estimate and you agree with the driver on the set price for the

A: No – MyRide has no booking fee, no surge pricing and competitive rates across all our services.
Q: How can I pay for MyRide?
A: You can pay either directly to the Driver by cash, card or voucher, or you may choose to use our secure in-app mobile payment, developed by TPay Australia.
Q: Can you pre-book MyRide?
Q: Can you split fares?
A: Yes. You can pay for your MyRide fare through the app via your stored credit card, voucher or TPass (our unique expense management service developed by TPay Australia), or direct to the Driver the same way you would any taxi with cash, card or a combination of the two.
Q: How do I add (or change) a registered credit card?
A: Just go to your account settings on the app and add, update or change your credit card details.
Q: How do I get a receipt?
A: We email the receipt to you at your registered email address.
Q: How do I apply a voucher?
A: To use a voucher just apply it at the time of payment. Vouchers are accessible if you are paying via your stored credit card and cannot be used when paying direct to driver.
Q: How safe is MyRide?
A: MyRide’s security is second to none, from data security to driver safety compliance and also vehicle safety compliance. Passengers have the same level of protection and regulation with MyRide that they have with any taxi or hire car service they use.
Q: Are MyRide drivers safety checked?
A: Yes. Unlike the unregulated operators, MyRide drivers are licensed and go through the same checks as taxi drivers.
Q: Are MyRide taxis suitable for children?
A: You can specify your needs when booking through MyRide, including car seats for children.
Q: Are MyRide taxis wheelchair user accessible?
A: You can specify your needs when booking through MyRide, including accessible vehicles for wheelchairs.
Q: I forgot my password – how do I reset it?
A: Use the “forgot password” link in the app to retrieve or reset your password.
Q: How do I change my account information?
A: Simply sign in to the app and select the Account tab from the menu to change any of your account information.
